Mesh Size selection is important. The basic
rule is: fine mesh particles give greater resis-
tance to abrasion and impact; coarse mesh
particles give greatest cutting efficiency. For a smooth surface that will scour clean so soil slides off with no tendency to build-up, a fine mesh is needed —30-40, 30 dn, 40 dn. For saw-tooth type cutting surfaces, a coarse mesh is needed
